What is Restorative Yoga:
Restorative Yoga is a form of yoga that seeks to achieve a deep level of physical, mental and emotional relaxation with the aid of props and the prolonged holding of a few simple poses. All levels welcome. No experience needed.

What are the Benefits:
Restorative Yoga provides healing for the body and the mind. It can help eliminate fatigue and stress that result from your daily activities. It can also help you recover from illness and injury or overcome emotional depression and anxiety. Restorative yoga can activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which enables automatic control of the body. As a result, the regular nervous system will be at rest and the muscles will become more relaxed. Constant practice of restorative yoga can make your body less vulnerable to stress-related illnesses and help you achieve optimal health.

How is Thai Yoga Massage incorporated:
Once you’re set up comfortably in a posture, supported by the props, Lauren, Chris and Rachael will be making their way around the room offering Thai Yoga Massage assists to help you release tension and fall deeper into relaxation. You will experience moments of Thai Massage and moments of traditional rest and stillness in each posture.

When:
We offer this special workshop at least once a month on various days and times depending on the availability of the studio space and the instructors schedules. Please arrive a few minutes early to sign-in.

What to Wear:
What to wear comfortable clothes and dress in layers so you can stay as cozy or as cool as you would like. Make sure to bring a sweater, sweatshirt or socks to stay warm.

What to Bring:
We will be providing one blanket, one bolster and two blocks for everyone but you may find that you want more props in certain poses. Please feel free to bring an extra pillow and blanket if you’d like, just in case you need it for extra propping in the postures. We will also have mats and props pre-set for you when you come in to save on time and maximize our space. You are welcome to bring your own mat and place it on top of the pre-set mat.

Thank you and we all look forward to seeing you soon!

– Rachael, Lauren & Chris

Sound Healing & Restorative Yoga w/ Amanda Marsh & January Slater

Sunday, January 1st, 2017

Sound Healing and Restorative.12.17.16Saturday, January 7th, 6:00-7:30pm: Join Amanda & January on Saturday, January 7th from 6:00-7:30pm for a special Sound Healing & Restorative Yoga class.

Find deep relaxation, peace, and self- healing right before the holidays with Amanda Marsh; Meditation & Restorative Yoga Instructor, and January Slater; Sound and Vibrational Harmonizer, Holistic Health, Reiki and Yoga Practitioner.

Amanda will guide you into restorative postures where you will be supported by various props, sending a message to your mind, body, and spirit to release deeply held tension and stress. She will lead you to center through finding your natural pattern of breath, anchoring in your rhythm, to release all responsibilities, commitments, and doings. You will then be guided to land in your heart; finding an intention that supports you and all that you do. The postures will be held up to 15 minutes, giving your entire being the opportunity to fully take in all the healing benefits. Once guided to a place of stillness, January will weave in her own unique technique of self-healing through vibrational instruments (crystal singing bowls etc) and voice. She creates vibrations that invoke harmony within the soul body which allow the physical body, mental, and emotional bodies to engage in their own healing intelligence.

Our soul consists of our mind, will, and emotions. Working through the soul level will support the breakdown of old belief patterns and frozen emotions to be unlocked and dispersed, clearing our energy fields and creating balance. The energy that she channels is a form of angelic energy that brings the frequency of pure light into the physical plane of our existence. The class will end in savasana where you can rest deeply surrounded by healing vibrations, taking you to a place of balance and serenity.

Limited space available and pre-registration required. For more information please contact Amanda at 413-627-3417 or email alouisem22@gmail.com. Please register at www.alunaliving.com under offerings. $30 cash, check or pay online.
