Meet Daria

Daria received her B.S. in Movement Science with a concentration in Sports Medicine and Psychology in 2019. After graduating, she became a certified personal trainer, where she discovered her passion for helping others feel strong and confident in their bodies. Her training in Barre sparked a love for teaching group fitness, which has since expanded into other modalities. Most recently, she completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training and is excited to weave yoga into her teaching.

Her experience as a personal trainer inspired her to dive deeper into the world of health and wellness, particularly the role of nutrition in overall well-being. She is currently pursuing her M.S. in Nutrition at the University of New England with the goal of becoming a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.

In addition to her fitness and nutrition background, Daria is also a licensed cosmetologist, with knowledge of hair, skin, and nails. Her long-term vision is to integrate all of her education and experience into her own private practice, creating a holistic approach to wellness that nourishes body, mind, and spirit.

How did you discover your passion for movement?

I participated in various sports growing up which sparked my interest in understanding how the body moves and its importance to health and wellness. Shortly after receiving my personal training certificate, I began training as a Barre instructor which then lead to me teaching a variety of fitness classes.

How has your practice supported your self-discovery and healing?

My personal movement practice has been able to strengthen my mind and body connection, which has helped me to better handle my emotions as well as be able to release tension that has built up.

What do you want people to know about your teaching style and classes?

We are all in it together! My goal is to teach a fun class that is high energy, while offering challenges and modifications in order to make the class suitable for all.

What is the most inspiring thing about teaching?

Finishing a class and recognizing the positive flow of energy and adrenaline rush throughout the room

What do you love about BYDF community?

I am excited to be able to teach in a warm and welcoming studio in the same city that I grew up in and give back to the community.

What do you enjoy outside of the studio?

When I'm not in the studio I'm often trying new recipes or spending time outside. In the spring I help coach the girls track and field team

Flashback to your childhood- what do you want to be when you grow up?

An Athlete in the WNBA
