Our
Classes
In her own journey, yoga and meditation have helped Emily heal her relationship with her body and herself. Emily truly believes that the key to healing the rest of the world begins with healing the inner world.
When not practicing yoga or other healing modalities, Emily can be found in her ever-expanding garden, roller skating down the rail trail, practicing martial arts, and being the best mom she can be to her daughter.
I first discovered yoga when I was a teenager and I loved how calming the movement and breathing practice was. I have found since then that yoga strengthens not only my body, but also my mind and spirit. Yoga fits in so naturally with my other wellness practices and it feels like second nature at this point.
I love the dedication that BYDF has to the community and the connection that they love to foster with the students. I am excited to teach here because I feel like it gives me an opportunity to be creative and to use all of my skills.
I wanted to be a doctor so I could help people.
My personal movement practice has allowed me to heal negative internal messages and begin the path to self-love. It has also shown me where I can strengthen physically and spiritually. Letting go of judgements and working towards a loving awareness of self and others.
I love breath to movement, a good meditation to begin and end class, and opportunities for self-reflection. I love using asana to bring fluidity to the body and a sense of ease to the movement.
Practicing martial arts, getting and giving massages, roller skating, and working my tail off to be the best mom I can be.
